A Tribute to Great Zimbabwe
Posted by admin | Under horse jumping game Tuesday May 18, 2010
The Republic of Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in the southern part of the continent of Africa, between the Zambezi and Limpopo rivers. It borders South Africa to the south, Botswana to the southwest, Zambia to the northwest, and Mozambique to the east.
The name Zimbabwe derives from dzimba Zimbabwe meaning houses of stone. Its use as the countries name is a tribute to Great Zimbabwe, site of the capital of the Munhumutapa Empire.
Present day Zimbabwe was the site of a large and complex African civilization in the 13th and 14th centuries.
It was populated by descendants of the Bantu tribes, who had migrated from the north around the 10th century.
Mainly pastoral, evidence of their lifestyle may be seen in the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, near the present day town of Masvingo.
The first contact with Europeans was with the Portuguese at the end of the 15th century. Relations between the two were fairly. Until the 1830s, when the region was thrown into upheaval by the northward migration of the Ndebele people from South Africa.
The Ndebele, who espoused a Zulu warrior tradition, effectively enslaved the indigenous Shona people until the end of the century.
At this point, a new aggressive breed of colonists arrived in the form of British mining interests led by Cecil Rhodes British South Africa Company. The BSAC took control of the country which they called Southern Rhodesia until 1923, when it became, nominally, a British colony.
This followed a referendum for whites only on joining the Union of South Africa.
In 1965, a bitter civil war between the white minority government and fighters for African independence, ending only in 1980, with the granting of independence and the holding of a general election under British auspices, which was won decisively by Robert Mugabes ZANU party.
The main focus of dissent in the early years was from Joshua Nkomos ZAPU opposition party ZANUs former ally in the Patriotic Front that fought the guerrilla war against Rhodesia from their bases in Zambia and Mozambique. From 1985, however, the two parties moved towards a merger, which was peacefully achieved in January 1988. Named ZANU PF, the party assumed undisputed political primacy, unchallenged by any significant opposition until the end of the 1990s.
There are lots to do and see in this area. Some include Bungee Jumping, Chobe National Park, Elephant Ride Entry to Victoria Falls, National Park Flight over the Falls Flying Fox Helicopter over the Falls, Horse Riding Microlight over the Falls, Night Game Drive Rafting and Boarding Combo Rafting on the Zambezi, Swim with Elephants, Gweru Walk with Lions.
The famous runner Zole Budd originated here.
The climate is hot.

How to Keep a Man : 3 Hot Tips to Keep Your Man!
Posted by admin | Under horse jumping game Tuesday May 11, 2010
You are not single anymore and have a man by your side. You love him and he too feels the same way about you. However, you are still unsure on how to keep this relationship everlasting. At times, you have small argument which creates a big impact on the relationship. Otherwise, apologies accepted.
There are sure ups and downs in a relationship. Well, love is complicated after all. It is simple to get a man in your life. It does not matter who but you can get a good one or a bad one but it is extremely difficult to keep the man you love in your life. He might not be the right one but I am sure, you ladies would want a long lasting relationship with your partner.
Here are the three hot tips on how to keep the man you love.
1. Do not dream of a prince charming riding a white horse with irresistible charm.
It is good to dream at a certain limit but do not make that a habit! If you are single, the case is different. However, you are together with the man you chose that you were head over heels in-love with. Humans will always be humans. Everyone has their own bad habits and not a perfect with only the good ones. Keep in mind that your partner is not prince charming but the man you want to be with for eternity.
Love is about accepting flaws and not having to say you are sorry that fate had brought you together. Keeping a man is simple. You just got to learn to accept him for what and who he really is. In that way you have him in your life and you will find that true happiness you desired.
2. If you are not into football, then don’t play the game
There is sure a hidden meaning to this statement. If you do not like something, don’t think of jumping into such activities. This means playing and fooling around with other men when you are in a relationship. You are going to hurt your partner and in turn, lose him forever. To keep your partner, you got to be honest and trustworthy during the course of the relationship.
If you are not into him and just staying with him for the sake of company, do not even jump into it. Instead of keeping your partner, you will just end up losing him. That too decreases your chances of having a better partner because your habits will remain the same. So if you are not into it, do not even do it!
3. Put your standards according to the flow
This is the time when you ladies should turn off your ego switch. Yes, it is good to have some dignity and respect from others but there is always a time to be moderate. To keep a man by your side, you need to loosen yourself up and just have some fun hanging out and being together. Do not be so demanding just because you see your other friends having partners who always pay for meals, opening doors and serenading them.
Your man too has great different qualities if you just give him some space and time for him to reveal his goodness. The best thing is to just be who you are and have extraordinary fun during those quality moments with him. You can never turn back the hands of time so why don’t you just make it special and less demanding? You never know what tomorrow holds so make the best out of today. He will think of not letting such a wonderful person go out of his life.
Conclusion wise, take a step at a time with your partner. Understand him as a part of your world. Men love women who take charge on being themselves. Keeping a man is easy to begin with. It just depends on your emotions and what your mind wants to do. Just have fun with him and go with the flow!
Â
Finally, let me ask you theseâ¦
Does the man you’re seeing really get the importance of a close and lasting relationship?
Or is he only in it with you until it stops being fun and easy for him?
If you aren’t sure, and you find that men often start acting lazy or uninterested when it comes to exploring more than just a casual relationship with you…
Then it’s time you stopped pretending to know what it takes.
And to discover what to do instead to inspire your man to want more with you than he’s ever imagined wanting with another woman, go here: http://www.freewebs.com/catchandkeephim

How Can I Fix My Arena Sour Horse?
Posted by admin | Under horse jumping game Tuesday Apr 27, 2010My gaming (barrel) horse is arena sour and refuses to go in the gate. It seems as if I’ve tried everything…backing in the gate, horses pushing behind him, horses walking in front of him, walking in with another horse, crop/bat, running in the gate, leading him in, someone else leading us in, bribing him. I’ve tried at few shows just doing a few classes for the day (2-4) and trying to keep him “slow” during the patterns. I’m always trying to stay relaxed before my event, keeping my legs loose, breathing easy, and just trying to keep my mind off of the event and just all around trying my best not to be nervous. I don’t normally practice the patterns at home, sometimes I will walk and trot the patterns and occasionally lope. I’m always going on trail rides with other horses and going alone. I try doing something different with him like riding bareback and doing jumping for fun. He won’t rear or buck and he won’t get hot, he will either stop and lock up or just start backing. How should I fix this issue?
Sounds like it is time to walk away for a while, give him a break. Try turning him out & riding him on trails or in the pasture without working on barrels & staying out of the arena for a while.
When our rope horses start getting sour, we turn them out for several months & when we ride, it is just for something to do, we do not "work" on anything. Just give their minds a chance to relax. It’s the same with people. You get burned out & need to just do nothing taxing for awhile.

Creativity And Original Thinking: Suggestions From Personal Experience.
Posted by admin | Under horse jumping game Monday Apr 26, 2010
Why is it that ideas can flow so freely sometimes and then be as elusive as a leaf floating down a stream? I’ve wondered that a lot when I was under a deadline, either at school or more recently for my livelihood.
Over the years I have used a few tricks to get me unstuck when I absolutely had to be creative at that moment with no option of waiting. The goal is to get the mind off the track it is on…that’s why you feel stuck. Your mind is closed in on one solution, one path….as if it’s a horse wearing blinders.
The first order of business is to relax and know that the good ideas are just waiting to come out. Remind yourself that you are a creative genius. Your mind is a miracle and it’s actually at your command. Belief is important, just as it is with any successful endeavor. It’s also time for a state change, meaning a physical change of state. Go walk around the block. Execute some jumping jacks. I like to play a couple good dancing tunes and have some fun with it. Standing, stretching and walking around the room may be enough.
You should be in a more positive mental frame of mind now. You know you can come up with some ideas and you are even looking forward to the process. You might do a quick review of your project, not a lengthy review. Flip though the plans, proposals, pictures, ad copy, whatever.
Do a small word association horse jumping games Amazon’;return true;” onmouseout=”self.status=””>game: write down one word having to do with your project. For example, perhaps I need to create a landscape piece for a client. I’ll write the word landscape at the top of the paper, then quickly write down words that come to my mind. I’ll have a list of words about color or actual places or kinds of foliage or weather, etc. You see, even though my project is visual, I use word association to get ideas. Try this with several aspects of you project/problem. Does your project have a name? Use that name for a word association exercise.
If I still need more input, I’ll ask myself some questions. Who is this for? What is the goal? What if I changed the whole thing? What would it look like? What really matters? I’ll even ask myself questions like: What if I don’t get this done? At least I’ll find out how important it is!
OK, so I need a bit more help. Here’s where I’ll lean back in my chair, close my eyes and take a few minutes to visualize. What am I visualizing? I’m visualizing delivering the project. Why? Perhaps I will see into the future as to what the final product looks like! Remember, this is a game. Have fun and you might come up with something really insightful.
I know there’s lots of good ideas flowing, but just in case you need some more help. I can only remember having to do something like this once. A good idea usually comes in the first or second exercise. You want at least 6 small (maybe 3×3) pieces of paper. Take your lists you just wrote and tear them into pieces so you can still read them. Better yet, you can create some more words and/or pictures. Use shapes or colors to represent parts of your project. Play mix-n-match with these papers. Shuffle them. Drop them on the floor and see where they end up. You could even cut out relevant magazine pictures and do this activity. You’ll already have some great ideas, so you probably won’t have to go this far!
Relaxing is very important. Stress tightens everything including your creativity. Relaxation helps those creative juices to flow. Get comfortable and enjoy the ride.
