Does anyone know of any riding games?
Posted by admin | Under horseback riding games Tuesday Aug 25, 2009I was just looking for some horse jumping games Amazon’;return true;” onmouseout=”self.status=””>games to play on horseback, not like barrel racing or pole bending but games to play with my friends at the barn! Please explain how to play too. 8D thanks!
There’s always crack the egg, or egg on a spoon, barrels, weaving in and out of poles, musical hay bales, costumes?, and there’s this one where two riders both hold crepe` paper and have to circle the end of the pole at the end of the arena and make it back without ripping it. Hope this helps!
Crack the egg – put eggs on the ground and have horse horse step on it
Egg on a spoon- put an egg on the spoon and have riders walk, trot, canter, jump, backup or whatever and try to keep it on the spoon
Weaving in and out of poles – whoevers team is fastest through poles without knocking them down wins
Musical Hay Bales – put hay bales out in a circle, have the horses circle/trot around them, when music stops whoever is not on a bale looses, keep taking bales away
Costumes – do a costume contest with judges and do different awards ex: funniest, scarriest, most creative
Barrels – do a patern with barrels and person with fastest time wins

Cowboy and Indians
It is where one group or person is a cowboy and the other a indian you chase each other around and try to tag each other.
Time
This game is real fun you have a timer and time how fast you can mount three horses then how fast you can barrel race then how fast you can dismount than remount… you could also add more
Good luck

Take ground poles & and make stalls . Its exactly like musical chairs, I’m sure you know how to play that . Play with atleast 3 to 4 people .

Simon says bareback with a raw egg balanced on a spoon doing around the world.
Simon says trot and canter with the raw egg balanced on the spoon.
Simon says jump off your horse and jump up on your neighbors. Like musical chairs. Last one left without a horse is out.
Round the world: right leg over, seated to the left, left leg over should be facing the tail, right leg over seated to the right, left leg over should now be facing forward.
Have fun.

This is a game me and my sisters love to play! 2 or more players.
Get a glove, or hove pick or key chain or something small like that. Have all but the player who has it leave to arena or turn around. Hide the item somewhere. On bales, fences, machinery, anywhere you can find. We have even hidden it on a horse, lol! The other players ride back in and try to find it. it’s lots of fun! Sometimes we play you have to touch the person who hid it after you find it. It sounds kinda dumb but it is so fun!
Here is another one. One person gets on a horse bareback with no bridle on. Just a halter and lead rope. Another person leads the horse around. We have done this with jumping, trotting, lots of stuff.
We love to do jumping or barrel racing and have a judge to. We race them up a field. We do tricks on them.
If you have really good horses then you might be able to di this: Ride them backwards. It is SO fun!
We had a wedding for our mini stud and mare, lol! It was really gay, lol! But also fun.
Do all around the world.
Hope this helps, have fun!
